What is a Silent Auction and when is it held?
You can bid from home via eBay or onsite at the Festival. Several auctions are only available onsite at the Festival. See details below:
A silent auction is a fund-raising activity that consists of a number of items presented for bidding with a bid sheet attached to each item. Bidders can walk around and place bids on desired items and later see who has placed a higher bid for the same item and decide whether or not if they want to increase their bid. Typically the Nationals Silent Auction is held during the Saturday Evening Banquet.
The Board of Directors is supporting an expanded Silent Auction for 2009 which will also provide members who cannot attend the 2009 National Festival with the opportunity to bid on the unique items procured for the auction.

The Central Do Jang in Seoul has a beautiful and powerful carving in granite on the left side of the front of the building. It reads, top to bottom: "Moo Duk Kwan Choong Ahn Do Jang".
