Federation Regions
The Federation's members are organized in 10 Regions that are geographically defined by the Board in Bylaws Article IV. Each region encompasses the members residing within the geographical boundaries of a region. A member's residency determines their region and the regional jurisdiction they are subject to.
Pursuant to the Charter And Bylaws, the Board of Directors is the source of "legal or business" authority that is granted to Regional Officials to handle member funds and conduct administrative support activities for the TAC in pursuit of Mission 2000 objectives and the chartered purposes of the Federation on a Region level. Some joint Board and TAC guidelines for Federation Officials can be viewed here.
Region's are authorized by the Board and TAC pursuant to the Charter and Bylaws, to conduct sanctioned events and activities in the region and to conduct Regional Dan Tests for members and then submit member Dan Rank and Kyo Sa Instructor Certification recommendations and associated fees to the National Headquarters. These fees and recommendations are then processed in accordance with the Charter and Bylaws via National Headquarters and legitimate rank certifications are obtained for qualified members and their certificates and other credentials are delivered to them in care of their personal Instructor.
The Federation's Board of Directors has 1 elected director from each designated region and 5 directors appointed by the Kwan Jang Nim.
The Technical Advisory Committee Chairman appoints Regional Examiners to assist the TAC in each region and serve the members residing there in their study of "the art" of Soo Bahk Do Moo Duk Kwan.
Regional Leadership is typically comprised of several entities and Federation Officials in various positions with a number of roles and responsibilities.
The Federation's primary entities and their rough hierarchical relationship to one another can be viewed here.
